I purchased these for my daughter in the middle of summer, as she needed white sandals for an event, but unfortunately it was late enough in the season that there was a very limited size supply of white sandals everywhere. The Stride Rite Butterscotch pair were my first choice, since I can always rely on the Stride Rite brand. Unfortunately the ones we got were too big, and they didn't have them in the size I needed. I also purchased a very similar looking pair made by Jumping Jacks, which was available in the correct size for us. Since I had both pairs at home at the same time, I was able to compare the two, and though it might be helpful to share this info since its hard to tell looking online. The Jumping Jacks one is typically slightly less expensive. The Stride Rite pair is fastened by velcro at the ankle, but the front strap is permanently affixed, although there is an elastic for some give. The Jumping Jacks pair has velcro on both the front and the ankle straps. The Stride Rite has white buckles, the JJ has silver buckles. I thought the Stride Rite pair's pattern/design was a little sweeter looking, it included hearts, but the JJ pair was cute too. The sole on the Stride Rite pair was much more flexible, seemed to have more padding, and seemed better made. Overall, I'm pleased enough with the JJ pair, but if I had my choice I'd go with the Stride Rite. The Stride Rites definately seem like they run big however.
