I bought these for my 3 1/2 and my 4 1/2 year old girls. I love Pediped shoes and the girls have been wearing them since their pre-walker days. However, the Pediped sandals are not as great fitting as the shoes, at least if your kids have normal to narrow feet. The sole of the shoe is extremely wide. I had this problem last year with a pair of their sandals that were not adjustable. So this year I chose the adjustable ones. Better, but this will be the last year I buy Pediped sandals.

I'm updating my review of this product to point out that although these sandals are comfortable with good support for a 3.5 year old, the front of the sandal is very soft and isn't protected in any way. In just a couple of days, the front pad area had become completely scuffed and worn looking. They still performed fine, just looked like a pair of old hand-me-downs. Perhaps my daughter is just hard on shoes... On the positive side, they run very true to size and I did not find them wide. You can't tell from the picture but the front "buckle" actually has a velcro closure so it can be tightened if necessary. We do a lot of walking so it is really important that a "breaking in" period isn't necessary - these sandals were super comfortable from the moment she put them on her feet.

My daughter loves these shoes, but buckles appear rusted. Shoes are great in every other way. Had the buckles appeared new, I would have rated them 5 stars.
