Not bad, but quality could improve

I bought this shoes for my toddler girl. She actually loved them and used them a lot last summer. I found that while mostly well designed the sandals tend to deform rather quickly (but like I said my girl really wore these a lot).For the most part they fit fine but they had to be strapped really tight for them to stay well in place, otherwise they would slip off or cause tripping.I'm thinking I won't get them again but they were fun while they lasted.Pros:-Cute design-OK price-Real summer shoesCons:-Material quality so-so (they started to deformed after a couple of weeks of use)-If not real tight they become loose and slip off

Run big

These shoes look and feel to be great quality. My son is growing out of his size 11.5 W shoes in another brand so I bought these in size 12 W. They are WAY too big! We are returning them for the smaller size. He loves the look and wants to wear them even though they are too big. Beware buy a size smaller than you think.

Size much larger than standard

In many other brands of shoes, my son is currently wearing a US size 13. I ordered a 13 1/2 in this sandal to use for the upcoming summer. It was huge! It appears to be more like a size 1 1/2 or 2 in comparison to the tennis shoes I have in those sizes. May have to wait another year to use!

This was a perfect shoe for my son to use going to and leaving karate, but it was not made for a young boy's foot. It is too wide across the middle of the shoe causing it to come off when walking!

Fit my little one's feet perfectly.

I had been looking for little one's first pair of shoes. I received a half dozen pairs in this size from a friend, as a hand me down. However I quickly learned that, in the prewalking phase, it is nearly impossible to find a pair of shoes. They need to be 1. shaped differently (wider at the front because babies are flat footed and chubby), 2. soft soled (because babies are not supposed to wear hard soled shoes at this age), 3. easy to put on (because baby has no idea what you're doing and will not be assisting you in any way to put a shoes on), and 4. have grippy bottoms (because baby will be climbing up on everything in the pre-walking stage.) If you add to this that you would like them to look good at all, and you could be shopping for a long time. These shoes were on her in no time, were the first pair that seemed to match the shape of her foot, and stayed on all afternoon without slowing her down a bit. I don't know that you need umi as much once they start walking, but for the next few months, I think they'll be perfect.
